A broken heart mostly happens as a consequence of a false image that we build ourselves regarding our loved one. In I Love You Deception (Je t’aime deception), Héloïse Haddad, director of this 40-minute long medium-length film, shows the audience four types of deceptions in love and life: the lost love (disappointment), betrayal, the search for a non-existent ideal (chronical dissatisfaction), and imaginary love.
Four different characters, whose stories intertwine by chance, will confront a broken heart from very different perspectives.
Héloïse Haddad completed her Film Studies in 2012. She has worked as a director, assistant and artistic director in several short-films, advertisements and musical videos. I love you deception is her first medium-length film.
I Love You Deception is part of the Official Selection of the International Medium-length Film Festival La Cabina that takes place from the 6th to the 16th of November in the Filmoteca de Valencia.
