Who hasn’t looked at their parents with a sunken suspicion they come from another planet? At some point we’ve all wondered…. But Romy, the main character of this story knows that her mom is an alien. Invasion from Planet Schrump (Invasion vom Planeten Schrump, 2011) is a 30 minute half-length film by German director Nadine Keil that shows us how a child builds her own reality after her younger brother’s death. Together with Moritz, a friend from school, Romy will try to discover the truth about her mother in this dramatic comedy. These two children will live a great adventure without leaving their home.
Nadine Keil is in charge of this story. She studied in Munich and Badewanne zum Glück (2009) was her fisrt short film. Invasion from Planet Schrump participated in the last edition of Cannes Festival and received awards at the Red Rock Festival and International Family Film Festival of Los Angeles.
Invasion from Planet Schrump is one of the films selected for the Official Section of the 5th Edition of Valencia’s International Half-length Film Festival ‘La Cabina’.
