“Eppur si muove” (“But, however, it moves”), the legendary phrase that Galileo pronounced and still resonates in the streets of Florence is an inspiring sentence. How to demonstrate the Earth revolves around the Sun without terrible consequences? How to make a planet turn without changing all the system? Quimu Casalprim, director of this 50 minute long film, offers us these answers in a silent black and white recording, where photography is the main focus.
This movie tells a story about adolescence and how life turns unexpectedly with adulthood, like a change of season. With a Tarkovsky inspiration, Nature is another character in the film, and becomes a cornerstone of this story where experimentation and fiction merge.
Quimu Casalprim i Suárez was born in 1977 in Girona, Spain, but currently lives in Germany. He has worked as an experimental music composer and video artist.
