A young girl wakes up one morning with a clear wish: she never wants to return home. She gets on a taxi and wanders through Taipei until nighttime.

No Way Home (Shih Li, 2011)

She doesn’t want to go back. The driver will become an accomplice of this girl’s escape in a story that Shih Li, director of this 35 minute long film, caresses through the camera.

Subtle and severe, this film is a tribute to life and the difficult decisions of leaving or staying; waking or remaining asleep.

No Way Home is one of the films selected for the Official Section of the 5th Edition of Valencia’s International Half-length Film Festival ‘La Cabina’.
