Synopsis

‘Desertorxs’ is a documentary about the Chilean post-dictatorship. It is also a techno-trans ritual to destroy national identity. In ‘Desertorxs’, the collective imagery is deconstructed through a. exorcising techno music dance. Error, repetition and disguise offer the possibility of creating something new, based on transgression and the explicit act of deserting: betraying the homeland and the ideas of belonging, genre and class by committing the crime of being alone and free in one’s own body.
