A morning like any other, Celia receives the visit of two strangers that are looking for her husband with whom they have some matters to solve. Celia soon discovers that her husband lives a double life and has several suspicious businesses. Celia becomes a kidnapping victim with unexpected consequences for all those involved.

Geoff Bell, Maxine Peake and Adeel Akhtar are three renowned British actors with a long career. Bell has worked with Woody Allen in Scoop (2006) as well as having participated in numerous English films; Maxine Peake, was casted in The theory of everything (2014), which was nominated for five Oscars, and has worked for several TV series; Adeel Akhtar has a long career in performing that includes his well-known role as one of the absurd terrorists in Four Lions (2010). The cast of Keeping up with the Joneses already anticipates great performances in this small 30-minute long thriller.

Michael Pearce studied Film Direction at the NFTS. His final graduation project Madrugada (2008) received the Best Short-film Award at the Branchage Short Festival and the Royal Television Awards. His short-film Rite (2011) was nominated for the BAFTA 2011 and the BIFA and received the Best Short-film Award at the Rushes Festival and the Almeria Short-Film Festival. Keeping up with the Joneses, nominated to the BAFTA 2014, has participated in festivals such as Clermont-Ferrand and the London Film Festival.

Keeping up with the Joneses is part of the Official Selection of the 8th Edition of the International Medium-length Film Festival La Cabina that will take place in November at the Filmoteca de Valencia.
