Like every fortnight, a divorced father picks up his 8-year-old daughter to spend some days with her. Everything seems normal until Lea’s father starts acting strange.
This 30-minute long drama by German director Patrick Vollrath is attractive due to its rhythm and the constant growth in tension.
The two main characters of this medium-length film are performers that are hardly known out of their countries. Simon Schwarz (1971) has worked in more than 50 movies and received the Max Ophüls Award as Best Young Actor in 1998. For young Julia Pointner (2005) this film is her debut. Both are capable of moving the audience and making them participant of the tense situation they live.
Patrick Vollrath (1985) started his career in editing but graduated in Film Directing at the Film Academy in Vienna. Since he started directing he has received several awards for his work. Everything will be okay (Alles wird gut) was screened in the International Critic’s Week at Cannes and received the Best Medium-length Film Award at the 36ª Edition of Max Ophüls Festival.
Everything will be okay is part of the Official Selection of the 8th Edition of the International Medium-length Film Festival La Cabina that will take place in November at the Filmoteca de Valencia.
