Lembo has fallen in love with Liisu, a beautiful young girl. They both live in a small rural zone in Estonia, where vodka and dreams about happy marriages in the city come together. Lembo has decided to declare his love to Liisu, although her family doesn’t think that a boy like him, a bit dreamy, can make her happy, economically speaking. On the other hand, Liisu wants to leave town with Willy, a more appropriate man for her and her family. One night, when Lembo visits Liisu’s father to ask for her hand, everything changes unexpectedly. Liters of vodka, alcoholic dogs and very strange characters come together in this hilarious 32-minute long musical.

Viimane Romeo (Moonika Simmets, 2013)

Moonika Siimets (1980) presents The Last Romeo. She studied Folklore and Literature before graduating as a Film Director at the University of Tallinn. She has directed television programs, documentaries and fictional films such as Deus ex machina (2005) and Hello! My Name Is Tom (2008). She works as a journalist and a freelance director.

The Last Romeo is part of the Official Selection of the International Medium-length Film Festival La Cabina that will take place at the Filmoteca de Valencia from the 6th to the 16th of November.
