Vitaly Akimov

Born on 23 January 1996 in Arsenyev, Primorsky Krai. He began his career as a photojournalist, and in 2014 he moved to St Petersburg, where he single-handedly made and published a magazine about art people, The Strangers. In 2019 he made a number of documentaries, which in 2020 took part in the world’s leading documentary film festivals. He participated in one of the main programs of the IDFA documentary film festival, in the main competition of the ARTDOCFEST festival, and together with Igor Mukhin took part in the 2nd Triennial of Contemporary Art at the Garage Museum. He lives and works in Moscow.
