Bird boy and the Robot is a scenic and audiovisual piece that seeks to investigate fraternal relationships, through a fantastic story created by two brothers, one neurodiverse, and one neurotypical and focusing on communication and neurodiversity beyond disability. The interaction of the fantastical narrative with documentary elements such as interviews with close relatives, and with with innovative storytelling formats such as stop motion, also seeks to question the limits of reality and fiction and how individual identities are generated, through a variety of subjectivities. This piece is, in essence, a tale of the love between two brothers who, through fantasy, seek to understand the other, themselves, and the history they carry with them.
