Fernando Colin Roque
Bachelor of Arts from the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM). His first short film ” Así es” (2007) wins the award for best university short film. In 2008, he wrote and directed the documentary “La cancion del Bajío” which won the award for best photography and a special mention in the Mexican documentary category at the DOCSMX film festival. In 2009, he studied at the Talent Campus Guadalajara in association with the Berlinale Talent Campus. In 2011, he directed “The most alive scream” a documentary production of the Ministry of Culture of Mexico. Between 2012 and 2016, he directs and produces several institutional, advertising, cultural videos and television programs. In 2018, he is admitted to “Le Fresnoy” (National Studio of Contemporary Arts, France) as part of the 2020 class, developing his work under the direction of Bela Tarr. His latest film “Yollotl” was presented “avant première” at Nuit Blanche Kyoto 2020 and premiered as part of the International Competition at the 24th Kurzfilmtage Winterthur Festival in Switzerland.
